Many areas in Hai Phong on alert against heavy rain
Convective clouds are developing and predicted to bring rain to many areas of Hai Phong city.
Radar images monitored by the Hai Phong Hydrometeorological Station at 4 am on October 11 showed that convective clouds were forming and causing rain over communes and wards in Cat Hai special zone of the city.
Another thunderstorm cloud system developing over Hung Yen province is also moving toward Hai Phong.
Forecasters warn that in the coming hours, these convective clouds will continue to grow, bringing showers and thunderstorms to communes and wards like Mao Dien, Cam Giang, Cam Giang town, Tue Tinh, Viet Hoa, Thach Khoi, Gia Loc, Ke Sat, Binh Giang, Duong An, Thuong Hong, Yet Kieu, Gia Phuc, Truong Tan, Bac Thanh Mien, Nam Thanh Mien, Nguyen Luong Bang, Chi Linh, Chu Van An, Hop Tien, Le Dai Hanh, Tran Phu, Thai Tan, An Phu, Nam An Phu, Nam Sach, Dai Sen, Hai Tay, Thanh Ha, Ha Bac, Viet Ha, Tu Minh, Tan Hung, Thanh Dong, Ai Quoc, Hai Duong, Le Thanh Nghi, Nam Dong, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Tran Nhan Tong, and Lai Khe before spreading to surrounding areas.
During thunderstorms, residents are advised to watch out for whirlwinds, lightning, and strong gusts of wind that could break trees, damage houses, transportation works, and infrastructure, posing risks to human safety.
