Hai Phong forecast to continue experiencing prolonged heavy rain
Due to the impact of the northeastern edge of tropical depression circulation, weakened from Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi), Hai Phong will experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms on September 30.

The Hai Phong Hydrometeorological Station has reported moderate rain in Hai Phong city, with some areas experiencing heavy rain. Rainfall commonly ranged from 20 – 50 mm, with higher amounts recorded in Quang Phuc (54 mm), Dong Xuyen (77 mm), Chanh Chu (71 mm), and Hai Duong (69 mm).
Due to the northeastern edge of tropical depression circulation, weakened from Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi), from the night of September 29 to September 30, Hai Phong experienced moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 30 – 80 mm.
From the night of September 30 to October 1, Hai Phong is forecast to have rain, showers, and scattered thunderstorms, with rainfall ranging from 5 – 10 mm.
From the night of October 1, Hai Phong will see rain and showers in some places, with rainfall below 5 mm.
During thunderstorms, there is a high risk of landslides, especially in areas with steep terrain. Heavy rain may also be accompanied by thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning, hail, and strong gusts, causing trees to fall and damaging houses, transport works, and infrastructure.
