Hai Phong leader encourages households affected by whirlwind in Tan Minh commune

Pham Van Lap, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, inspected the damage caused by a whirlwind and directed recovery efforts in Tan Minh commune on the afternoon of September 29.
Lap shared the difficulties and encouraged affected households, while commending the sense of responsibility and the prompt response of the local Party committees, authorities, and forces in mobilizing manpower and equipment to assist people in repairing the damage.

He also praised Tien Lang Electricity for quickly deploying staff to fix incidents and restore power to residents by the evening of September 29, ensuring their daily needs.
On this occasion, the official presented four gifts from the city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to four families heavily affected by the whirlwinds in Tan Minh commune, including one worth 20 million VND and three worth 10 million VND each.
According to a quick report from the commune People’s Committee, due to the impact of Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi)’s circulation, at around 10 am on September 29, a whirlwind hit the commune, completely unroofing two houses in Bac Phong and An Thach hamlets and making two residents injured.

In addition, many houses in Nam Phong 1, Nam Phong 2, Bac Phong, and An Thach hamlets (formerly part of Kien Thiet commune) were partially unroofed, and one livestock farm lost its roof.
Tan Minh commune authorities promptly dispatched forces to the scenes to assist in taking the injured to hospital, clearing fallen trees and power lines, and moving belongings to help residents overcome the aftermath.
