Vietnamese Heart Volunteer Club mobilizes over 2,000 people to donate blood
Over the past nine months, the Vietnamese Heart Volunteer Club in Hai Phong has mobilized more than 2,000 people to register for blood donation, receiving about 1,500 units of blood.

The Vietnamese Heart Volunteer Club, in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Viet Tiep Hospital, organized the voluntary blood donation festival “Red Sunlight 48” at AEON MALL Hai Phong Le Chan on September 28. The event attracted the participation of nearly 300 young Youth Union members, volunteers, and laborers.
At the event, the organizers collected 215 qualified units of blood, promptly supplementing the reserve blood supply for patient treatment at hospitals across the city.

Thus, in the first nine months of this year, the club has mobilized more than 2,000 people to participate in eight voluntary blood donation festivals, collecting about 1,500 units of blood.
Within the program, staff and volunteers of the Vietnamese Heart Volunteer Club also conducted communication activities about thalassemia in the community and the significance of organ donation.

In addition to mobilizing blood donation, the club also organizes various charitable and humanitarian activities to support disadvantaged and vulnerable groups inside and outside the city, with an annual humanitarian value averaging 300 – 400 million VND.
