Con Son - Kiep Bac sees sharp increase in visitors
Although the 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival has not yet begun, the number of visitors to the relic site has surged dramatically.

Nguyen Thi Thuy Lien, Head of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Relics Management Board, said that on September 28 alone, nearly 50,000 visitors came for sightseeing and worship, many times higher than the same period last year. “There has never been a year when tourists flocked to the relic site in such large numbers before the festival as this year,” said Lien.

The reason lies in the close attention and direction of the Hai Phong People’s Committee; extensive communication efforts about the festival and the recognition of the relic site as world cultural heritage; and the special interest of people and visitors in the 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival, a major cultural event of the city after merger. In addition, the favorable, cool weather has also contributed to the influx of visitors.
The Con Son - Kiep Bac Relics Management Board has proactively worked out plans to welcome visitors, including parking lots, staff members trained to improve service and reception skills.

The board will also closely coordinate with the People’s Committee of Tran Hung Dao ward, particularly the local police, to ensure thoughtful and safe reception of arrivals.
It is expected that from now until the festival, the number of visitors to the Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site will remain high.
