Preparations completed for 1st Hai Phong Party Congress
Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau has acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparations of the city’s departments and sectors for the 1st city Party Congress, 2025 – 2030 tenure.
Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau presided over an inspection of preparations for the 1st city Party Congress, 2025 – 2030 tenure, at the city Convention and Performance Center.
Concluding the inspection, Secretary Le Tien Chau acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparation work of the city’s departments and sectors, which basically met the requirements. Based on opinions of the city leaders, he suggested that agencies, units, and individuals absorb feedback, make adjustments, and finalize the preparations.
The convocation of delegates to the congress must follow the prescribed schedule. Delegations need to meet and thoroughly study the rules and regulations of the congress.
Regarding the groundbreaking ceremonies for Tan Trao industrial park and LNG Thermal Power Plant, appropriate plans must be prepared in line with weather conditions to ensure the schedule.
Localities should intensify propaganda about the congress, organize emulation movements, and carry out celebratory activities in a practical and effective manner.
The 1st city Party Congress, 2025 – 2030 tenure, will take place over two days, on September 26 and 27, with three working sessions at the city Convention and Performance Center, with the participation of 446 delegates representing 243,544 Party members from 118 Party organizations under the city Party Committee.
This is the first congress after the merger of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province, when the city’s population has reached more than 4.6 million (ranking 4th nationwide), and its economy ranks 3rd nationwide. It is also the first provincial-level Party Congress in the country to mark Hai Phong’s pioneering step in applying digital technology to Party building.
