Lach Huyen port welcomes largest container vessel ever
The container vessel MSC KALINA of MSC Shipping has been recorded as the largest ship ever to call at Lach Huyen port in Hai Phong city.

On September 23, Hai Phong Port TIL International Terminal Co., Ltd. (HTIT), a subsidiary of Hai Phong Port JSC., successfully received the container vessel MSC KALINA of MSC Shipping.
The MSC KALINA, registered under the flag of Panama, measures 366.06 m in length, with a draft of 12.2 m and a deadweight tonnage of 162,867 DWT. This marks it as the largest container vessel ever to dock at Lach Huyen port.

The successful reception of MSC KALINA is an important milestone affirming HTIT’s operational capacity, coordination ability, and readiness to further integrate into the global supply chain.
HTIT consists of berth No. 3 and No. 4 at Lach Huyen port. It has a total berth length of 750 m and a depth of minus 16 m, capable of handling vessels of up to 165,000 DWT (14,000 TEUs) and partially loaded vessels of 200,000 DWT.

The terminal also includes a 250-m barge berth accommodating vessels of up to 3,000 DWT (160 TEUs), along with advanced cargo-handling equipment, with a total investment of nearly 7,000 billion VND.
HTIT, inaugurated on May 13, 2025, operates under a green, smart model, applying modern technology and automation.
