2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival elevated
The 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival will be upgraded in both scale and quality, combining solemn traditional rituals with modern elements.
The Organizing Committee of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival held a press conference at the Hai Phong Convention and Performance Center on September 23 to provide information on the 2025 edition - a major cultural and spiritual event of the city and the region.
The 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival will take place from October 1 – 12, associated with the 725th death anniversary of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and the 583rd death anniversary of World Cultural Figure Nguyen Trai.
The event will also honor the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac complex recently recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, and celebrate the 1st city Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 tenure.
This year’s festival will be upgraded in both scale and quality, combining solemn traditional rituals with modern elements and new highlights, including the military festival on the Luc Dau river with the participation of 50 boats; the Culture, Tourism, and Trade Promotion Week showcasing hundreds of OCOP products, traditional crafts, and distinctive cuisine; the introduction of new tours; as well as the art program “Hai Phong - Quintessence of the heritage land” staged elaborately with modern 3D mapping technology to recreate the glorious victories of the Tran dynasty.
Concluding the press conference, Nguyen Quang Phuc, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the city Party Committee, emphasized that this year’s festival is not only a solemn cultural and spiritual event to honor the ancestors, but also upgraded in scale. The Organizing Committee and subcommittees are making the highest efforts in preparations, from content, rituals, and artistic programs to logistics, security, health, and environmental sanitation, to ensure the festival takes place safely, solemnly, and effectively.
He tasked the Propaganda Subcommittee’s member departments and sectors to work closely with the press, strengthening diverse and vibrant information dissemination before, during, and after the festival, creating strong resonance among the public and visitors.
He also expressed hope that with the joint efforts of authorities and sectors, along with the support of the press, the spirit of solidarity, preservation, and promotion of heritage values will be widely spread, turning Con Son - Kiep Bac into an international cultural and tourism destination, thereby promoting the image of Hai Phong as a city rich in tradition, friendly, and hospitable.
The opening ceremony of the 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival will take place on the evening of October 7, broadcast live on Vietnam Television, as well as channels and digital platforms of the Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television.
