Hai Phong renews urban look, creating green and modern living spaces

Hai Phong is putting on a new urban look with increasingly complete infrastructure, expanding spaces, and rapid urbanization, forming civilized, green, and modern residential areas for its citizens.
Hai Phong city prioritizes investment in and upgrading of regional road traffic infrastructure, while simultaneously developing seaport, waterway, and aviation systems, most notably Lach Huyen Port and Cat Bi International Airport. This is an important foundation that helps the city affirm its role as a major logistics hub of the country, facilitating international trade expansion, attracting investment, and promoting sustainable socio-economic developmentOn that basis, urban space is increasingly expanded, infrastructure is gradually completed, and urbanization takes place rapidly, with the urbanization rate reaching 68.94%Notably, Hai Phong has vigorously implemented social housing projects, surpassing the target of 15,400 units by 2025 assigned by the Prime MinisterAt the same time, the city gradually resolves social housing issues in connection with renovating and rebuilding old apartment complexes, while also allocating housing for re-rent and resettlement to serve residentsIn the western area of Hai Phong, the orientation is towards green, smart, and sustainable urban development, with an urbanization rate of about 45%Previously, this western area was newly planned with a strategic road traffic system including six north-south and nine east-west axes. Based on this, resources were concentrated to implement 57 important transport projects with a total length of nearly 285 km and an investment of approximately 30,000 billion VND. To date, 15 projects have been completed and put into operation, 16 projects are under construction, and 26 projects are in the investment preparation stageResources have been socialized to invest in four transport projects, and six large bridges, namely Kenh Vang, Dong Viet, Quang Thanh, Hai Hung, and Dinh, were jointly built, contributing to improving regional connectivityProjects are implemented under the principle of linking social housing development with the renovation and handling of old apartment complexes, ensuring that residents can settle in new, spacious, and higher-quality housingThe new Hai Phong city is continuing to expand its urban space, focusing on investing in parks, squares, pedestrian streets, and greenery to improve the quality of life for residentsFrom transport infrastructure projects and social housing areas to parks and squares, all are heading towards a modern, smart, and sustainable city
