All educational institutions in Hai Phong to be equipped with at least one smart classroom
Hai Phong’s education sector has set many goals for the 2026 – 2030 period, including the equipment of all educational institutions with at least one smart classroom.

The Hai Phong Department of Education and Training held the first advanced model conference for the 2026 – 2030 period on September 18.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the education sector during 2020 – 2025. The patriotic emulation movement was implemented effectively, achieving many outstanding results such as continued expansion of the school system, the rate of national-standard schools reaching over 76%, increasingly modern facilities, and the quality of both mass and specialized education affirmed with many students winning national and international medals.
Entering a new period, the Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee suggested that the education sector closely follow the spirit of the Politburo’s resolution on breakthrough development in education and training, considering it the guideline for emulation movements. The sector needs to continue fundamental and comprehensive reform of education, linking each emulation movement with specific and practical political tasks, avoiding formality.

The Vice Chairman emphasized that Hai Phong education must focus on moral, lifestyle, life skill, and revolutionary ideal education for students; build happy, safe schools; and develop a team of teachers and managers with sufficient quality, capacity, and balanced structure.
The city will study policies to attract, treat, and honor teachers; encourage excellent students to pursue pedagogy; and strengthen modern facilities and teaching equipment. Attention should also be paid to discovering, fostering, and replicating advanced models; and promptly commending direct teachers and students in difficult circumstances who excel in study.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh Hung expressed his belief that with comprehensive renewal, Hai Phong’s education sector will continue to achieve many successes, deserving to be a high-quality educational center of the Red River Delta and the whole country, aiming to reach international stature.

For the 2026 – 2030 period, Hai Phong’s education sector aims to improve the quality of national-standard schools, striving for the city’s average rate to reach 90%. Of this, preschools will reach 88%; primary schools 92%; and lower and upper secondary schools 90%.
All educational institutions will be equipped with at least one smart classroom; each commune, ward, and special zone will have at least one multipurpose hall for each educational level. The sector will also focus on improving the quality of implementing education programs at all levels, maintaining and enhancing universal education standards, and promoting lifelong learning. At the same time, attention will be given to fostering excellent students at city, national, and international levels.
Hai Phong city has had over 76.9% of schools meeting national standards; all schools have been renovated or newly built, with no more temporary classrooms; and the rate of permanent classrooms has reached 96.7%, higher than the national average. Facilities and libraries have all been standardized and modernized.
In vocational education, most secondary and college-level schools have achieved facility standards; many practice workshops have passed international accreditation (Australia, Germany), ensuring training quality and linkage with enterprises.
