People’s Council Chairman Le Van Hieu inspects conditions for transporting officials from west to east of Hai Phong by train
There will be trains transporting about 300 officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from the west to the east of Hai Phong for daily work.
On the afternoon of September 16, Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee, Chairman of the city People’s Council, together with leaders of a number of departments, sectors, and units, conducted a field survey of infrastructure and service quality at Hai Phong and Thuong Ly stations in preparation for transporting officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from the western area to the eastern area of the city to work by train.
As planned, starting from Monday, September 22, about more than 300 officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the western area of Hai Phong will travel to the eastern area of the city to work by train every day.
The train will depart from Hai Duong station at 6 am and return from Hai Phong station at 5.15 pm; the travel time is about 1 hour 15 minutes.
To ensure convenient travel, the city authorities will arrange shuttle buses and taxis to transport officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from the station to their workplaces and vice versa.
After the field inspection and listening to reports, Chairman of the city People’s Council Le Van Hieu emphasized that relevant departments, sectors, and units need to urgently prepare all necessary conditions to meet the daily commuting needs of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers from the western area to the eastern area of Hai Phong for work.
Attention should be paid to upgrading and renovating parking areas at Hai Duong station, adding essential goods and services, and taking measures to ensure security and safety for passengers as well as officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers traveling by train.
The implementation of the train route demonstrates the concern and support of the city’s leadership in addressing the commuting difficulties of officials and civil servants who have to work far from home, promptly encouraging and motivating them, helping everyone feel assured in their work.
