Hai Phong to build Nguyen Trai – Le Hong Phong interchange with 565.2 billion VND

Standing Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Le Anh Quan has signed a decision approving the adjustment of component project 1 of the Nguyen Trai bridge building and surrounding urban renovation project.

Component project 1 adds an interchange at the six-way intersection between Nguyen Trai and Le Hong Phong streets, including an underpass directly connecting the two streets.

The project will also widen the roads on both sides of the underpass and organize at-grade traffic in a roundabout with a 40-m diameter. The connecting roads to the interchange will be aligned with the current layout.

Specifically, the underpass will have a total length of 340 m. Its cross-section will match that of Nguyen Trai bridge, ensuring six traffic lanes. The interchange will also be equipped with complete technical infrastructure, including a pumping station, drainage, lighting, greenery, and traffic safety systems.

The project, located in Ngo Quyen and Gia Vien wards, will use nearly 5 ha of land and have a budget of 565.2 billion VND.

With this adjustment, the total investment for component project 1 rises to 4,981.4 billion VND. The interchange is expected to be completed and put into operation when Nguyen Trai bridge officially opens to traffic.
