On September 13, Cat Hai special zone Police, in coordination with Doan Van Quy (born 1993, resident of Hamlet 13, Cat Ba, Cat Hai special zone), returned lost property to tourist Blanche De Chauvigny De Blot from France.

Earlier, while passing through Hamlet 11, Quy found a wallet containing a passport under the name Blanche De Chauvigny De Blot, along with various personal documents and cash.

He immediately posted the information on social media to help locate the owner. Upon receiving the report, the special zone Police quickly coordinated with Quy to verify and track down the rightful owner.

On the morning of September 13, tourist Blanche De Chauvigny De Blot was reunited with all her belongings and expressed joy and deep gratitude to the police and Doan Van Quy.

This was the second case of a tourist being returned lost property since Cat Hai was designated as a special zone. Since the beginning of 2025, four visitors to Cat Ba have been assisted by local authorities in recovering their lost or forgotten belongings.

The proactive and responsible actions of Cat Hai residents and local authorities have not only left a positive impression on visitors but also contributed to affirming the image of the island as a safe and welcoming tourist destination.
