Hai Phong border guards present gifts to students in coastal, island border areas
Some units of the Hai Phong Border Guard have attended school year opening ceremonies at 31 schools in the city’s coastal and island border areas and presented 99 gifts to disadvantaged students there.
In the joyful atmosphere of the 2025–2026 school year opening on September 5, some units of the Hai Phong Border Guard took part in ceremonies at 31 schools in coastal and island border areas of the city.
On this occasion, the city Border Guard units gave 99 gifts worth more than 70 million VND to schools and disadvantaged students. Among them were 57 students under the program “Supporting Children to School,” directly sponsored by the Hai Phong Border Guard.
In the 2024–2025 school year, the city Border Guard adopted many students from grade 1 - 12 in communes, wards, and special zones in coastal border areas of Hai Phong, providing monthly support of 500,000 VND per student. Most of these students came from disadvantaged families but strived to achieve the best academic results.
