Over 1 million students in Hai Phong start new school year
Together with the rest of the country, today, more than 1 million students from over 1,600 educational institutions in Hai Phong city attended opening ceremonies of the 2025–2026 school year.

On the morning of September 5, more than 1,600 schools across 114 communes, wards, and special zones in Hai Duong city simultaneously held opening ceremonies of the 2025–2026 school year.
The ceremonies were organized uniformly by the municipal education and training sector, creating an exciting and competitive spirit for the entire sector to enter the new school year with determination to successfully fulfill its tasks, further affirming Hai Phong’s position as one of the leading localities nationwide in education quality.
The 2025–2026 school year is the first for Hai Phong after its merger with Hai Duong province. The city now has more than 1 million students from preschool to high school and continuing education, supported by over 67,000 administrators, teachers, and staff.
On this nationwide day of bringing children to school, the city and local leaders attended ceremonies, offered flowers, and shared the joy with students and teachers at all educational levels across Hai Phong.
