Hai Phong cuts processing time for 1,680 administrative procedures by at least 50%

The Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee on September 3 decided to reduce the processing time for administrative procedures related to the lives of citizens and the production and business activities of enterprises in the city.

Accordingly, 1,680 out of 1,907 city-level administrative procedures will have their processing time reduced by 50% or more, 39 procedures will be cut by less than 50%, and 188 procedures will remain unchanged.

At the commune level, 269 out of 313 administrative procedures will have their processing time reduced by 50% or more, 8 procedures will be cut by less than 50%, and 36 procedures will remain unchanged.

The city People’s Committee has asked the city departments and agencies, within their respective management scopes, to provide clear and transparent guidance on the reduced administrative procedures; issue internal processes for developing electronic workflows that reflect the reduced processing times on the city’s administrative information system, to be completed no later than September 10, 2025.

The Department of Science and Technology will take the lead, in coordination with other departments and sectors under the city People’s Committee and the Public Administrative Service Center, to build electronic workflows based on the internal processes of the reduced administrative procedures. These must be fully, promptly, and accurately updated on the city’s administrative information system, ensuring compliance and uniform implementation across the city, with completion no later than September 15, 2025.

At the same time, departments, agencies under the city People’s Committee, and People’s Committees at commune, ward, and special zone levels are responsible for publicizing and implementing the administrative procedures in accordance with the internal and electronic workflows that have reduced processing times, ensuring smooth, seamless operations without bottlenecks or delays.
