Hai Phong welcomes over 1 million tourists during National Day holiday
The number of visitors to Hai Phong during this year’s National Day holiday (September 2) increased by 8% compared to the same period in 2024.

According to statistics from the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the city welcomed more than 1 million tourists during the four-day National Day holiday, up 8% year-on-year.
Among them, there were 29,518 international visitors. The average occupancy rate of hotels across the city was estimated at 50%.

Due to the long holiday, tourism service providers, attractions, and food tour operators in the city made thorough preparations in terms of facilities, staffing, and services to best serve visitors. Favorable weather also gave tourists many enjoyable experiences in Hai Phong during this period.
Popular destinations included the Cat Ba archipelago (a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site); Con Son – Kiep Bac relic site (a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site); Dragon Hill, Dragon Hill Water Park, Hon Dau Resort, Dau island, Ba De temple, Tuong Long tower, and Dao Co (Stork Island).

In addition, areas such as the city’s central flower garden promenade; Nguyen Binh Khiem relic site; Trang Kenh scenic and historical complex; Mac Dynasty Memorial; Tue Tinh food street; Tranh temple, Khuc Thua Du temple, President Ho Chi Minh Memorial; West Hai Phong Museum; Chu Van An temple; Mao Dien Temple of Literature; and venues hosting cultural, sports, and tourism events also recorded significant visitor numbers.
