On the morning of August 29, Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau visited and presented gifts to families of people with distinguished service to the revolution on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).
Chau and his entourage presented gifts to Luu Van Bach and Pham Van Chat in Thanh Dong ward.
Luu Van Bach (born in 1926) participated in revolutionary activities from January 1, 1945 until before the General Uprising on August 19, 1945. Meanwhile, Pham Van Chat (born in 1937) was former commander of Battalion 72, Regiment 285, Division 363 under the Air Defense – Air Force Service, and was awarded the “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title.

Since retirement, both Bach and Chat have remained exemplary models, with their families upholding discipline and fully complying with the Party’s and the State’s guidelines and policies.
Secretary Le Tien Chau warmly inquired about their health, expressing hope that they would continue to stay well, preserve the qualities of revolutionary soldiers, remain exemplary figures for younger generations, and contribute to the development of the locality.

He also required leaders of Thanh Dong ward to continue showing care and attention, regularly visit and encourage people with meritorious service and their families in the locality, and promote the nation’s tradition “uong nuoc nho nguon” (when drinking water, remember its source).
The honored individuals and their families expressed deep gratitude and emotion at the thoughtful visit, noting that the attention from the city and local leaders was especially meaningful in the days leading up to the 80th anniversary of National Day.
