Urgent construction of resettlement areas for Lao Cai - Ha Noi - Hai Phong railway project
Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee Tran Van Quan has required acceleration of resettlement projects serving land recovery for the Lao Cai - Ha Noi - Hai Phong railway project.

Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee Tran Van Quan worked with the authorities of Gia Loc, Gia Phuc, and Yet Kieu communes on the morning of August 21 on preparations for investment in and site clearance for five resettlement projects serving the Lao Cai - Ha Noi - Hai Phong railway project.
As reported, the railway construction project through Gia Loc commune will extend 6.1 km, covering about 41.8 ha.
In Gia Phuc commune, the railway line will span about 1.8 km, starting from an overpass of the Ha Noi - Hai Phong expressway and ending at the overpass of the Dong Trang canal.
In Yet Kieu commune, the railway section requires 16.23 ha of land, including farmland, cemetery land, a funeral hall, as well as transportation and irrigation land. About 310 households will lose agricultural land, while 92 others will lose residential land.

At the meeting, the commune leaders reported on the progress of site clearance for the resettlement projects, raised difficulties and obstacles, and clarified underlying causes.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Van Quan required the commune authoritiess to work closely with relevant departments to urgently speed up site clearance. He emphasized the need for proactive and flexible solutions, with tasks resolved decisively and deadlines clearly defined.
He required the communes to complete site clearance for the resettlement projects within September, while also expediting planning approval and promptly handling any changes that may arise.
