Hai Phong youth support Dien Bien residents affected by floods

Hai Phong youth have raised nearly 290 million VND to support those affected by floods in Tia Dinh commune, Dien Bien province.

From August 12 to 14, a delegation of the Youth Federation of Hai Phong city visited and presented gifts to residents of Tia Dinh commune, Dien Bien, who had been affected by floods.

Due to the impact of heavy rains and flooding, many communes in Dien Bien province, including Tia Dinh, suffered flash floods and landslides, cutting off transportation and causing many houses to collapse or be swept away.

On this occasion, the city Youth Federation presented 139 million VND in aid to 52 households whose homes had completely collapsed or been swept away by floods.

The delegation also distributed essential goods such as dried food, drinking water, blankets, warm clothing, medicine, and household items.
