Hai Phong’s consumer price index up 3.62%
Hai Phong’s consumer price index in the first seven months of 2025 increased by 3.62% compared to the same period in 2024.

Hai Phong’s consumer price index (CPI) in July rose by 0.46% compared to June, and the seven-month figure increased by 3.62% year on year, according to the city Statistics Office.
Specifically, the July CPI of eastern Hai Phong rose by 0.61% compared to the previous month, and the seven-month figure increased by 2.88% over the same period in 2024.
The July CPI of western Hai Phong increased by 0.3% compared to June, and the seven-month figure rose by 4.41% year on year.
The main factors driving Hai Phong’s seven-month CPI increase included a 13.07% rise in the group of household appliances, such as vacuum cleaners, beds, wardrobes, tables, and chairs.
The housing, electricity, water, fuel, and construction material group rose by 6.93%. The group of other goods and services, including personal items and jewelry, increased in line with gold prices.
The education group rose by 1.88%, mainly due to price increases for certain educational services and tuition hikes at some non-public educational institutions.
Nationwide, the July CPI was estimated to have risen by 0.11% compared to June, with the seven-month figure up 3.26% year on year.
