Promoting educational cooperation between Hai Phong and EQuest Education Group
EQuest Education Group is currently carrying out three inter-level school projects in Hai Phong city, namely Alpha Hai Phong, Ngoi Sao Hai Phong, and Newton Hai Duong.
Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Hung on August 6 afternoon received a delegation from EQuest Education Group and Keiser University (the US), led by David Armstrong, Vice President of EQuest, for a courtesy visit and to discuss plans for upcoming educational projects in the city.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh Hung shared an overview of Hai Phong’s socio-economic development following its merger with Hai Duong province. This expansion has enabled Hai Phong’s education sector to grow in both scale and diversity, laying the groundwork for the city to fulfill its role as a regional hub for education and training.
Currently, Hai Phong is home to eight universities, 1,608 preschools and general education institutions, 652 centers for foreign languages, IT, and life skills, along with 77 vocational education institutions.
Alongside economic growth, Hai Phong places special emphasis on investment in education and training, the advancement of science and technology, and the building of an innovation ecosystem. The city has adopted numerous policies to promote learning and talent, honor outstanding students and teachers, invest in school infrastructure and teaching equipment, improve the quality of teaching staff at all levels, and provide tuition support. As a result, Hai Phong has consistently ranked among the top nationwide for national and international academic achievements.
The city is undergoing rapid development with a vision to become an international center for education, training, research, application, and the development of science and technology.
To achieve this goal, Hai Phong has prioritized attracting investment in the construction of non-public and international inter-level schools in tandem with the development of major urban areas. The city encourages and facilitates the participation of businesses and large corporations in building and developing high-quality, internationally standardized schools across various educational levels.
Hai Phong always welcomes and supports educational projects with a long-term vision, innovative models, and teams of international experts. The city pledges to instruct relevant departments and agencies to provide close coordination and maximum support in terms of legal and administrative procedures and land to help EQuest and its partners implement projects smoothly.

On behalf of the delegation, David Armstrong, Vice President of EQuest Education Group, expressed his sincere appreciation for the city’s ongoing support during the implementation of the group's educational projects in Hai Phong.
Highlighting EQuest’s scale and strengths, he noted that Hai Phong has great potential to become a high-quality educational center in Northern Vietnam. With the group’s capabilities, experience, and dedication, combined with the backing of the city authorities, he hopes many more projects will be launched in the future, contributing to the development of Hai Phong’s education sector and the training of a high-quality workforce to meet the city's growth needs.
