Hai Phong Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau inspects key projects in western region
Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasized the importance of accelerating the progress of key projects during a field survey in the western region of the city yesterday.

Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau led a field survey of a number of projects in the western part of the city on the afternoon of August 4.
Secretary Chau assigned the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority and relevant departments to facilitate administrative procedures and assist Vietnam Rubber Urban and Industrial Zone Development JSC., the investor of the second-phase expansion of Cong Hoa industrial park. The goal is to start construction no later than the first quarter of 2026.

Regarding proposals concerning drainage and wastewater systems, clean water and electricity supply for the industrial park, the Secretary of the city Party Committee asked the investor to closely coordinate with the Economic Zone Authority and the city’s departments to ensure legal compliance and optimal operational readiness. This would help attract more domestic and international enterprises to invest in the park.
Inspecting the city's strategic transport infrastructure projects, including a high-speed road connecting Hai Phong's eastern and western regions and another linking Gia Binh Airport to Lach Huyen Port, Secretary Chau highlighted their significance as key traffic arteries. These routes will help effectively connect the city’s major economic zones.

He noted that the projects will maximize the potential of national infrastructure such as the high-speed Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway, Gia Binh Airport, Hai Phong International Gateway Port in Lach Huyen, and Nam Do Son Port.
Additionally, the southern coastal economic zone and the next-generation free trade zone will serve as breakthroughs in regional connectivity, expanding development space and creating new growth drivers for the city in the coming years.

Secretary of the city Party Committee Le Tien Chau assigned the city People's Committee to urgently study and propose specific investment plans and policies; thoroughly evaluate investment efficiency and financial plans for each project to ensure feasibility and alignment with the city’s overall development strategy; and comprehensively review and adjust the city’s master plan, particularly regarding industrial parks, urban areas, service hubs, and logistics, to meet new development requirements.
The official made a special note about the renovation and equipment upgrade project at Hai Duong General Hospital. In addition to infrastructure improvements, he urged a strong focus on enhancing the professional capacity and service attitude of the medical staff. He encouraged partnerships and technical exchanges with hospitals in Ha Noi and major hospitals in Hai Phong to adopt advanced medical techniques and improve healthcare quality for the city's residents.
