Employers and employees of Regent Garment Factory Ltd. in Lai Vu industrial park, Hai Phong city, has donated 200 million VND to support Bui Thi Hue, a sewing worker at workshop 2U04, for the treatment of a serious illness.
Born in 1996, Hue lives in Nam An Phu commune and is in a very difficult situation. She is a single mother raising a five-year-old child and also takes care of her elderly mother who is no longer able to work.
After experiencing deteriorating health in June 2025, Hue was diagnosed with a dangerous strain of drug-resistant tuberculosis. Her lungs have been severely damaged, and she has developed a large tuberculous lymph node in her neck, with a high risk of complications. She is currently undergoing long-term treatment at the National Lung Hospital, which involves substantial expenses.
In light of her situation, the company’s Charity Committee and leadership called on employees at the Lai Vu plant to contribute. Together, they raised 200 million VND, which was handed directly to Hue by representatives of the company’s leadership and trade union. The support aims to help her afford treatment, with hopes that she will soon recover and return to work.
Regent Garment Factory Ltd. has consistently prioritized workers' wellbeing. Employees facing serious illness, hardships, or emergencies have always received timely support and solidarity from their colleagues and the company leadership.
