Prime Minister (PM) Pham Minh Chinh on July 29 evening praised the Vietnam U23 national football team for their remarkable 1 - 0 victory over Indonesia in the final of the 2025 AFF U23 Championship, securing their third consecutive regional title.

In a letter of congratulations sent shortly after the match, the PM extended his heartfelt commendations to the players, coaching staff, the Vietnam Football Federation, and fans across the country, calling the win a resounding success.

The achievement further cements Vietnam’s dominance in Southeast Asian youth football, and showcases the firmness, talent, solidarity, and aspiration to rise of the young players donning the national jersey, he noted.
