Group-II imports are those with high potential safety risks such as chemicals, fertilizers, industrial explosives, explosive precursors, inorganic fertilizers, and textile products. As a result, documentation and import procedures for these items are particularly strict and rigorous.
Import-export businesses in the city are encouraged to proactively grasp and comply with quality inspection registration regulations to avoid hazards and delays in customs clearance, which may cause unnecessary losses.
Hoang Thi Hong Ngoc, Head of the Sub-department for Standards, Metrology, and Quality, affirmed the agency’s commitment to providing technical support, consulting, dissemination of information, and guidance to businesses on the inspection procedures for Group-II imports, with the aim of enhancing their ability to navigate technical barriers in international trade.
