Two female karatekas snatch two national gold medals for Hai Phong
Both Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2 karate teams clinched gold medals thanks to outstanding performances by female athletes Nguyen Ngoc Mai Anh and Vu Ngoc Linh.

The 2025 National Karate Clubs Championship concluded in Dak Lak province on July 18.
Both teams representing Hai Phong city, Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2, met or surpassed their medal targets.
The gold medal of Hai Phong 1 came from veteran karateka Vu Ngoc Linh, who competed in the women's kata category for athletes over 35. Other members of Hai Phong 1 added three bronze medals.
Hai Phong 2 secured one gold, four silvers, and one bronze. The gold was earned by 16-year-old Nguyen Ngoc Mai Anh, who defeated her Dong Nai opponent in the final of the 62 kg category in the 15 – 17 age group.
At the end of the tournament, Hai Phong 2 ranked 19th overall, while Hai Phong 1 was placed 24th.
The championship, taking place from July 9 to 18, featured 827 athletes from 52 teams competing in five age groups: 10 – 11, 12 – 14, 15 – 17, over 18, and over 35.
