Incense offered to commemorate Famous Physician Tue Tinh

Residents of Cam Son commune (Cam Giang, Hai Duong) on April 2 morning solemnly held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate Famous Physician, Zen Buddhist Monk Tue Tinh and opened Giam pagoda festival.
Giam pagoda, also known as Nghiem Quang pagoda, is the place associated with the saint of Vietnamese traditional medicine - Famous Physician, Zen Buddhist Monk Tue Tinh.
The pagoda dates back to the Ly dynasty and was restored and embellished in the 14th century by Tue Tinh. The pagoda was previously located outside the Thai Binh river dyke and then moved to the present location in 1971. It was reconstructed in accordance with ancient architecture and classified as a cultural and historical relic in 1974.
Giam pagoda festival takes place in three days of April 2, 3, and 4 (i.e. the 14th, 15th, and 16th days of the second lunar month). The ceremony part consists of a water procession from the Thai Binh river to the pagoda, the incense offering ceremony, and a statue procession. There are cultural and art exchanges, unicorn dance, quan ho (love duet) singing, a volleyball tournament, etc. in the festival part.
