Hai Duong to spend over 55.7 billion VND on gifts for families of meritorious people and hardship allowances on Tet occasion

The provincial authorities will present more than 61,000 gifts (worth 800,000 VND each) to people with meritorious services to the revolution, wounded and sick soldiers, etc.

The People’s Committee of Hai Duong province has decided to spend over 55.7 billion VND on gifts for policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, elderly people, and some units taking care of wounded and sick soldiers and hardship allowances on the occasion of the 2023 Quy Mao Tet (Lunar New Year).

The provincial authorities will present more than 61,000 gifts (worth 800,000 VND each) to people with meritorious services to the revolution, wounded and sick soldiers, resistance fighters and their children who are infected with toxic chemicals, revolutionists and resistance fighters who were imprisoned by the enemy and are enjoying monthly allowances, and beneficiaries of allowances under a number of the Prime Minister’s decisions.

In addition, the provincial authorities will visit and offer gifts (worth 500,000 VND each) to families of soldiers and officers working in Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platforms and hardship allowances to poor families in 235 communes, wards, and district towns, visually-impaired children learning at the Center for Rehabilitation, Vocational Education, and Job Creation under the provincial Blind Association, patients at the Chi Linh Leprosy Hospital, etc.

Gifts for families of meritorious people and hardship allowances for some subjects this year are 100,000 - 200,000 VND higher than the 2022 Nham Dan Tet.
