Hai Phong to stage fireworks displays to welcome 2026 New Year and Lunar New Year

As planned by the Hai Phong People’s Committee, the city will organize fireworks displays on the eves of the 2026 New Year and Lunar New Year.

Specifically, at 0 am on January 1, 2026, Hai Phong will set off fireworks at the city Opera House and the square of the Xu Dong Cultural Center. The fireworks will take place immediately after a New Year art program to create a strong highlight to close the old year and usher in the new one with many expectations.

On the 2026 Lunar New Year’s Eve, the city will continue to organize simultaneous fireworks displays at the same two locations.

This activity is part of a live broadcasting program serving the public, contributing to connecting the spring welcoming atmosphere among localities and bringing sacred, warm moments at the year’s transition.

In addition to the fireworks displays organized by the city, Hai Phong also encourages eligible enterprises, tourist attractions, and urban areas to register to set off fireworks in response.

The fireworks shows must strictly comply with legal regulations, be suitable to actual conditions, and must not affect security, social order, safety, or the environment.

The city requires all organizational stages to be implemented carefully, ensuring absolute safety, thrift, and effectiveness, while creating a high aesthetic impact.
