The project to build an interchange linking Bui Vien and Le Hong Phong streets in Hai Phong city has a total investment of more than 707 billion VND.
Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Le Ngoc Chau has approved a project to build an interchange linking Bui Vien and Le Hong Phong streets.
The project will be implemented in Hai An ward, covering 5 ha of existing transport infrastructure land.
The project owner is the Hai Phong Management Board of Transport and Agricultural Work Construction Investment Projects. The total investment of 707.1 billion VND comes from the city budget, with the implementation period spanning 2024 – 2027.
The project aims to address traffic congestion and ensure safety for vehicles traveling through the Bui Vien – Le Hong Phong – Ngo Gia Tu intersection. It will also help ease the traffic load on National Highway 5 through the inner city and other routes.
The investment scope includes the construction of a first-level roundabout with a central island radius of 30 m. An underpass will be built along Bui Vien street’s direction. It will be a reinforced concrete structure with a total length of 485 m, including a 125-m enclosed section, 27 m wide, with six lanes and a design speed of 70 km/h.
Le Hong Phong and Ngo Gia Tu streets will remain as they are, smoothly connecting to the roundabout intersection.
The project also includes technical infrastructure works such as a drainage system, an underpass pumping station, street lighting, greenery, and traffic safety facilities.
