$73 million interchange in Hai Phong 96% complete, set for Q2 completion

A major interchange project in Hai Phong is about 96% complete and is on track for completion in the second quarter of 2026.

Contractors are speeding up construction of the National Highway 5 interchange, aiming for completion in the second quarter of 2026.

The project, which links National Highway 17B with National Highway 5 and the Hanoi–Hai Phong railway, has a total investment of 1.867 trillion dong ($73 million).

As of end-April 2026, around 96% of the workload had been completed, according to the Hai Phong Management Board of Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Projects.

Located in Phu Thai commune - formerly Kim Xuyen commune, Kim Thanh district in the former Hai Duong Province, now part of Hai Phong - the project is managed by the Hai Phong Agricultural and Rural Development Construction Investment Project Management Board, previously known as the Western Hai Phong Project Management Board. Construction began in December 2024.

The project is being carried out by a consortium of Phuong Thanh Transport Construction and Investment JSC, Dat Phuong Group and Thinh Vuong TVT.
